David has lived in Avoyelles Parish since 2010 with his wife Trish, daughter AJ, and three dogs (Andy, Daisy, and Ollie). David is a Louisiana native, originally from Oakdale, the grandson of a Vietnam and Korean War Veteran. David’s favorite music is Swamp Pop, Country Music, and Zydeco. He also loves riding 4 wheelers and going on new adventures. Listen to David on weekdays from 12-1, and on Saturday mornings.

Allie Oakley

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Allie is a lifelong media professional, starting her first radio job while in college at George Mason University, going on to work in radio and television in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and Louisiana. In her spare time, Allie loves listening to her favorite country music artists Craig Morgan, Merle Haggard, George Jones, George Strait, Keith Whitley, and Vern Gosdin, to name a few. Country Boy Mark Porter

The Country Boy, Mark Porter is 100% Country! Most listeners will know Country Boy From Saturday Night Gold , some listeners know him from his work as host of Commanding the Outdoors, which he co-hosted with World Champion Turkey Caller Tucker Crisp and Duck Dynasty stars Phil and Willie Robertson. You may even know him from his appearances on A&E’s Hit TV Show Duck Dynasty. Mark enjoys hunting and fishing, but his first and true love has always been radio.

Mark began his Radio Career at age of 17 in Alexandria, LA. Since that early start he has done just about everything: DJ, Music Director, Program Director, Operations Manager and Owner (Mark owns KIOX-FM outside Houston).



Mark began Saturday Night Gold in Alexandria, LA in 1999 as a way to have fun, interact with listeners and add spice to his station’s programming. It was an instant hit! Since then, Mark has taken his Saturday night show on the road, broadcasting live from clubs and drawing thousands to his events.



Along the way, The Country Boy has racked up a number of awards including several from the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters and was named one of “Radio’s Rising Stars” by Radio Ink Magazine.

Born in Beaumont, TX and raised in Deville, LA, Mark is a true “southern boy”! In addition to his love of country music, his listeners and radio, he also enjoys playing his own music and singing! Mark performed live at Carnegie Hall when he was 19!

Pat Tassin

Pat is a life long resident of Avoyelles. A US Army Veteran, Pat has been in the radio business for over 41 years. Pat has also served with the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Department as a deputy and 911 dispatcher. Pat hosts Pat's Place on Sunday from 3 pm - 6 pm, playing the best of Cajun, Swamp Pop and Zydeco.

Todd Laborde

Owner and Air Personality Todd Laborde, started his career as a teenager in 1981 at KAPB AM/FM. Todd was cutting the grass at the station when he popped his head in and thought, this would be a pretty cool job. Todd enlisted in the Navy in 1982. After a six year stint, he returned to KAPB as Program Director. Government service called once again as Todd left KAPB to pursue a career in communications officer with the U.S. Government serving at Embassies worldwide. Todd kept his hand in radio, working as an air personality at WQRA-FM in Warrenton, VA and WFLS-/WWUZ and WYSK in Fredericksburg, VA. After 34 years of worldwide service, Todd purchased KAPB-FM in February of 2017, leading to a major technical and infrastructure renovation, transitioning to 977 The Cajun in May of 2017, bringing a local-programmed 90’s based classic country format along with Louisiana legends intertwined, giving The Cajun a home grown sound.

Rebz Laborde

Rebz Laborde, started at KAPB as a summer intern in 2018, learning all she could about the radio station business. She is the daughter of owner Todd Laborde and niece of Dru and Niles Laborde. She attended George Mason University in Virginia and studied English with a minor in Folklore/Mythology. She loves to express her creativity through writing, drawing, and art in her free time, and it reflected in her evening show. She loves to talk about current events, weird stories, Louisiana, Folklore, and pop culture to reel you in on certain topics! You can hear Rebz on the Cajun in the evening from 7 to 10, Monday-Friday and Saturdays from 4 to 7.

Niles Laborde

Niles is a born radio guy. Starting his career at KAPB in the 70’s, Niles has worked in several radio markets including the Washington D.C. suburban area at WFLS-FM, KXKC-FM in Lafayette, KQID and KSYL in Alexandria, KJNA Jena and KLIL in Moreauville. Niles is an avid sports fan and has provided play by play and color analysis for high school and college radio throughout his career. Niles follows the Atlanta Braves as well as LSU and The Saints. Join Niles from 1-4 Monday-Friday!
