From 9:00AM to 1:30PM

Avoyelles Wildlife Federation will hold its annual skeet shoot on Saturday August 31st.  All proceeds go to youth oriented projects as hunter and boater education class and supplies and fishing tournaments.  The AWF skeet shoot will be between Mansura and Moreauville on Hwy. 1 next to the Mansura Auction Barn. Look for the signs!!  Qualifying is from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Additional practice shooting will be allowed during the qualifying. Elimination finals begin at 1:30 pm.  Winners in youth division, women’s division and adult division will be awarded trophies. The overall winner wins a new shotgun. The Big Block Foundation is sponsoring a Christmas Toy Giveaway at the Holy Ghost Church Gym on December 22nd from 10 am to noon*.  The event is a drive-thru toy giveway for children ages 3-12.  Children must be present to receive a gift.
